Directed by Sean Durkin (Martha Marcy May Marlene) in his British television drama debut, Southcliffe tells the story of a fictional English market town devastated by a spate of shootings which take place over a single day. It explores tragedy, grief, responsibility and redemption seen through the eyes of a journalist returning to the small town of his childhood, and those closest to the victims of the tragedy.

害怕悲剧重演，必须知道源起何处，媒体立于民众立场，一味悲天悯人之姿，痛诉凶徒残暴，惋惜死者无辜，不多久，新闻驱逐旧闻，旁观者习惯地擦去泪水，重回电视节目的自娱自乐，没有人继续关注恶的源起，小镇群众的冷漠凌辱终致奋起反抗，因果报应，自食恶果，不去在意是因为害怕面对真相，

画风阴冷镜头用得好残忍……第一集导火索第二集杀戮后两集后续的悲剧…诶其实还蛮搞不懂 来自整个community的恶意到底要怎么办呢？尤其是还有一些无辜的人的时候。记者选择了逃避大胡子选择了复仇，可这都不是根本解决方法呀…
