剧情介绍
The Britpop Story was a documentary aired on BBC Four about the Britpop movement which occurred in Britain during the 1990s. The show was hosted by John Harris, who interviewed Elastica frontwoman Justine Frischmann and Louise Wener of the band Sleeper.
The show started with a look at grunge music and how British music was at an all-time low. It charted with the development of Blur, Suede, Elastica and Sleeper. Harris recalled the time when he was at the "Good Mixer" pub in Camden Town, London with Noel and Liam Gallagher, on a "sightseeing" trip, when future rival Graham Coxon was there. There was further information on other Britpop groups, such as Menswear. There was a focus of Tony Blair and his support of Oasis, as well as showing the decline of the movement.
