Recycling a scene from a D.W. Griffith short, THE GRIFFITH CIRCLE creates a perplexing game of cinematic “hide and seek” that twists the spatial logic of conventional film practices. A simple and yet often neglected act of screen continuity is turned into a playful investigation of filmic space and its effects on narrative causality in classical cinema.
