在2018年NT剧目计划中，由Royal National Theatre剧院制作，罗里·金奈尔和安-玛莉·杜芙（Anne-Marie Duff）主演、鲁弗斯·诺里斯执导的《麦克白》刚刚率先定档NT Live并释出海报，直播就在2018年5月10日。
Shakespeare’s most intense and terrifying tragedy, directed by Rufus Norris (The Threepenny Opera, London Road), will see Rory Kinnear (Young Marx, Othello) and Anne-Marie Duff (Oil, Suffragette) return to the National Theatre to play Macbeth and Lady Macbeth.
The ruined aftermath of a bloody civil war. Ruthlessly fighting to survive, the Macbeths are propelled towards the crown by forces of elemental darkness.

这四星是在RK四星半+Anne四星=八星半的基础上被搭档和服装一星一星减下来的。。。我不是个容易被干扰的观众啊！但是被服装干扰得不行不行的……斜坡倒没有觉得不好。RK的麦克白可能是我最同情的一版，泪汪汪～而且这一版把夫妻关系处理得很温情。最喜欢的一段支线情节被剪掉了，但麦克达夫演得这么差。

之前一版万磁王演的麦克白用服化道来影射斯大林，这一版直接把莎士比亚演成了乔治奥威尔，可以说耳目一新吧。场景营造和几个配角（尤其女巫）相当出彩，但同时了也弱化了我们的主角。麦克白好像自始至终是被命运裹挟的，而且感觉就是导演在有意为之，毕竟这个“英国首相”在某一版《奥赛罗》里演的伊阿古展现过极为丰富的内心戏。另外同样表现这部莎剧的黑暗，这个导演极尽服化道与音效的帮衬，而真正大师如波兰斯基还是可以通过人物内心外化做到的。
