除了金沙和皇家曼苏尔，其他4家都不是传统意义上的豪华酒店，没有很极致的品控，且其依附于景点，而景点周边的生态环境、社区维持也仰赖于酒店。可以说后者是景点中的酒店，而前2者是作为景点的酒店（迪拜Jumeirah三家亦如此）。这两类酒店背后的资本背景决定了不同的酒店功能：前者单独构成一个完整的空间、甚至隔绝于外部环境，作为本国政治象征；而后者是社区的经济支柱，是为社区生存所需
