這是一部調查紀錄片，透過一些由農民、研究員、農學家、作家講述的故事來探討現今法國的農業世界。雖然受到經濟、科技和社會的衝擊，這個世界仍然迄立不倒，無論是好是壞，它繼續為不同年代的人保持聯繫。農業世界是現今所有重要討論以及對未來探討的中心主題。
