Follows a 1999 expedition to the North Face of Mount Everest to search for clues to the disappearance of climbers George Mallory and Andrew Irvine, who apparently died on the mountain in June 1924. Mallory’s body was discovered during the expedition in May 1999; this has led to a new interpretation of Mallory and Irvine’s final hours on Everest.

George Mallory是否成功登顶已经不那么重要了，他是伟大的，后人至今踩着他的脚印沿着他的路线登顶，心心念念都是那句，因为山就在那里。他和圣母峰融为了一体，是一种信仰，屹立不倒。
